May 1 A Sustainable Collaboration at A "Green" House
EAT DRINK SUPPORT SUSTAIN
This is the final event of The Pier Aquarium's event series on sustainability scheduled April 17-May 1, 2010. The second Sustainable Collaboration fundraiser to benefit education at The Pier Aquarium, this special evening invites the participation of world-renowned chefs presenting sustainable food and other collborators who share our mission "to ehance the public's understanding of the value and fragility of the global marine environment through research, education and personal experiences.
The evening brings musical entertainment, a poolside light show, sustainable beverages, indoor/outdoor exhibits featuring the work of local artisans, with sales benefiting The Pier Aquarium, a silent auction, a ride on Endeavour Green, a 24 ft. electric hybrid boat (www.endeavourgreen.com) and more surprises.
A tour with the homebuilder and Discovery Channel's green building and sustainable development expert Jennifer Languell, Ph.D., will demonstrate to you what makes this house "green" and what you can do to make your home - and life - a bit more green!

Ticket required; $125pp
Visitors will be asked to don "booties" to wear as they tour the house.
