JAN. 7 BOOK BOOK FEATURES A "FRACTURED" FAIRY TALE PLAY St. Pete Main Library Presents The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark
St. Petersburg, FL (Dec. 27, 2011) – The acting troupe from the St. Petersburg Main Library will present an inaugural performance of a (new) fairy tale play based on the Three Little Pigs classic at the next Book Nook by the Bay.
Beth Lindsay and Paul Loverne of the Youth Services Department will perform The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark, a book written by Ken Geist. The book is loosely based on the classic tale, The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf but takes place underwater.
Mamma tells her three little fish that it’s time for them to build their own homes, and they do!
An unwelcome visitor asks them: "Little fish, little fish, let me come in.” The response: "Not by the skin of my finny fin fin!”The big bad shark says: "Then I’ll munch, and I’ll crunch, and I’ll smash your house in!” You can guess what happens, watch the play or read the book to find out the ending!
