St. Petersburg, FL (Aug. 31, 2010) - September is Community Harvest Month for 100 deserving non-profit organizations at all seven Columbia restaurant locations in Florida.

Having lunch or dinner at two locations can benefit The Pier Aquarium.

Diners having a meal at the Columbia restaurants at The Pier in St. Petersburg or Sand Key, Clearwater Beach, can help raise money for the aquarium by selecting The Pier Aquarium on the Community Harvest Ballot. Five percent of the bill will be contributed to the aquarium by the restaurant.

During the past 12 years, the Columbia's Community Harvest donated $1,060,000 to 100 non-profit organizations in the state. The Columbia has five other restaurants in Tampa (RiverWalk), Ybor City, Sarasota, St. Augustine and Celebration in Central Florida.
