GREEN COLLABORATIONS EVENT 5
May 1 FISH-ful Saturday: Ocean Habitat Protections
ONE WORLD, ONE OCEAN
Working Together to Protect Our Global Ocean Ecosystem

Join as as we celebrate 2010, The Year of the Ocean and learn what's being done to preserve a very important resource, the world ocean.

Our guest speaker is Randy Runnels, Ph.D., Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves manager, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and an adjunct faculty member at Eckerd College.

Dr. Runnels will discuss how ocean environmental issues span a global scale. As we place more environmental stress on the global ocean, we also are increasing reliant on what the ocean provides for us. Scientists and resource managers across the plant are taking advantage of state-of-the-art monitoring technology and communications networks to understand the challenges and how they are being addressed.
