The Cost of Community Marine Education » Donate Online

The Pier Aquarium has provided community marine education for 23+ years. With dwindling funding, we've done some belt tightening but the expenses are still there. Add up some of our yearly expenses: $500 to feed our 4-ft. long green moray eel; $4,000 for four science cafes; $1,550 for one six-week Ocean in Motion; $3,000 to feed our Coral Catsharks; $5,000 to create saltwater, $8,600 to maintain the coral reef tank. The cost of creating stewards of the marine environment? PRICELESS!

$1 Shark to Support Shark Conservation » Donate Online

The Pier Aquarium has been raising coral catsharks from egg cases for the past two years and has started an aquaculture program to lessen the need to harvest in the wild. You can help support our Shark Conservation program by purchasing a $1 "e"-shark" that will be delivered to your e-mail address. If you purchase multiple sharks you will receive a certificate indicating how many sharks are "being delivered!"

Shark Babies' Wish List » Donate Online

With the unexpected arrival of our first trio of baby Coral Catshark in November 2008, our nursery is bare! We need help furnishing "their room" at The Pier Aquarium and providing the nourishment they need to grow big and healthy over the next tender year of their lives. Here's our Wish List! We welcome any help in offsetting the expenses of taking care of our young'uns. Head Nanny Butch Ringelspaugh,Curator of Exhibits, has put together our Baby Shark Wish List for items they sorely need!
