The Pier Aquarium is a private, not-for-profit aquarium and marine education science center located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida at The Pier on the waterfront.
Discover our fun, interactive Fresh Fish Theater featuring live creatures from Tampa Bay and around the world. The action - and drama - never stops with our daily 1-4pm Touch Tank Experience and 3pm fish feeding. Students and teachers can experience the marine environment up close and personal through our innovative award-winning education programs on land and at sea.
Learn firsthand from marine scientists about the fish and their habitats. Watch videos about our regional fishing industry and play an interactive game about fish caught in Tampa Bay. Hear the sounds in the sea through our mobile hydrophone installed underneath The Pier.
The Pier Aquarium's ocean science education and marine life exhibits that showcase critical environmental issues have been recognized over the past decade. We are the public face for much of the cutting-edge innovation, technology and research being conducted by the 1,200 scientists and researchers in the Bayboro Marine Research Cluster.
